Long-time Royal cruisers - first time on Celebrity. Very, very impressed. The ship itself is beautiful and extremely well maintained. Our suite was large and spacious. The shows were spectacular. But the thing that really stood out was the staff. They were amazing. Every aspect of the cruise featured exceptional service. Our room attendant and butler took great care of us and we literally never had to ask for a thing - they seemed to anticipate what we needed. The food in the restaurants was also impressive. In Luminae it was close to specialty cruise dining every night. If you're in a suite, you really get spoiled. We were greeted with champagne. Cheese plates, fruit and shrimp were waiting daily. You have reserved seating at the shows which is a nice perk because the shows are fantastic. Also, you have access to Michael's Club a private bar and Luminae a private restaurant. Both places made each and every night exceptional!
Large, spacious suite. More than enough room and storage for 2 and could accommodate a family of 4. The cabin attendant was spectacular. Room was literally perfect.
We did the Snorkeling and Beach Day at Pearl Island. The trip over was quick and easy. If you're snorkeling you have to wait in line to sign a waiver and then you're assigned a time to come back. The snorkeling itself was spectacular...fish galore. The guide feeds to fish so it's like being in an aquarium.
We did the Cali Shipwreck Snorkel excursion which was incredible. It's literally a few hundred yards off the beach. The first stop we saw hundreds of fish including nurse sharks which was a first. At the second stop - even closer to the beach - you get to explore the shipwreck and see even more sea life. At this stop I saw my first barracuda. Amazing Italian restaurant right next to the dock!
Went on the River Tubing and Blue Hole Swim. Easy bus ride to the tubing location but beware...they tell you to rent a locker. At the Blue Hole they tell you that you can leave your stuff on the bus - it's locked. They own the lockers at the tubing location, not at the Blue Hole. Seemed like a money grab. The tubing itself was lots of fun. Beautiful and the staff is great. At the Blue Hole expect crowds and a bit of a wait to jump in but it's worth it.
We did the clear kayaking and beach snorkel combo which was a fun experience. The resort is typical for Cozumel. Getting a beach chair is easy. Snorkeling was fun - spotted a moray eel. The clear kayaks were a surprise...you really can see right through them clearly.
