I had been researching an Antarctica cruise for a couple of years and had looked at pretty much most cruise lines offering Antarctica cruises. Atlas kept making my top 3 list for what if looked like a luxury expedition at a competitive fare. I was worried about some of the negative reviews from their inaugural year. When they started with their BOGO fares last fall, I told my husband we were going to Antarctica. We had such an incredible trip. Not only was the Antarctica destination so spectacular but the overall experience on the ship made it truly a trip to remember. Traditionally we have been All-Inclusive resorts fans but we so enjoyed the experience on the World Traveller we have booked another sailing in the fall.
We had 142 guests and 130 crew for our sailing. Service was excellent all around, from the restaurants, bars, Paula's Pantry, guest services, cabin attendant, spa staff, crew that help with all the zodiac launches. We enjoyed the personal service on board. Everyone seemed approachable and sincere. We had some excellent conversations with the captain.
I think food is always a pretty personal taste preference. We had some excellent dishes and some that were okay. Overall we thought the food was very good. Plenty of options in the buffets for lunch and breakfast. Their wagyu burger on the room service menu was excellent. The order was delivered within 30 minutes and was hot.
Nicely laid out room. Plenty of storage for us. Bathroom was nice.
