We're novice cruisers and made some mistakes.
The ship is very nice and comfortable. Plenty of pleasant places to park yourself... on the deck, in the library, etc. The entertainment was better than we expected for such a small ship... the entertainment director ("PJ") was great, the hotel director (Andreas) was practically a stand-up comic, and there was a musical duo and a small band with a woman singer who had a nice voice.
The food was just OK, your basic buffet food for the most part. Dinner at Amphora was hit and miss... some dishes were fine, some were just terrible, and nothing was awesome. Somewhat annoying was how long it would take to get coffee. We would order coffee with dessert and always finished the dessert long before the coffee ever showed up. And there were a couple times when waiters forgot our drink orders at lunch. The waiters are all working hard, so not sure what the problem is. Unlike the previous poster, we did enjoy the dinner on deck (we didn't find the lines long), and there was a steel drum band for entertainment.
Seemed great to us, a whole suite. Very roomy and comfortable. The next grade up of cabin has a "balcony" (really just a door that opens, you can't actually walk out), which would have been nice but wasn't worth the extra cost.
