We, two couples, selected this cruise because of the itinerary, to see the islands. Also, we decided to go with the 3-day tour package in Honolulu up front. NCL was the only cruise line to offer that format, without sailing from the west coast.

I read all the reviews in advance, so no surprises about the ship experience. I knew going in that staff shortages and cost cutting affected the experience - and that was evident. We ranked it in the middle of our 5 cruises. Thus, my overall rating. But there was a lot that made it acceptable; like, you're going to Hawaii! It's paradise!

Note: we had glorious weather. No rain. Nothing was impacted or cancelled due to weather on our cruise, but I know it happens and some ports can be skipped due the the conditions. We were fortunate on that point.

Cabin Review

Large Balcony

STATEROOM ***

We had a Large Balcony room. Yes, the balcony was large, but not the room. My spouse & I are not big people and we had difficulty navigating while in the room. Sure, you don't spend a lot of time in your cabin on a cruise, but it was tight when we were both getting ready in the mornings. We didn't have any issues or problems. A/C was good. Bed was comfortable. Overall, we managed, but you might consider the next size up if you can.
