We went on the MSC Meraviglia. The Atrium was absolutely gorgeous. It definitely feels like a party cruise (Vegas Vibes). The private island was pretty cool. The drinks were not cheap, but not overpriced. The stateroom was adequate. The service was fine. This ship was beautiful and had lots of potential. THE FOOD WAS AWFUL!!! My husband and I are not picky eaters, but absolutely trash. The only food that was decent was one the speciality restaurants we had went to (Habichi restaurant). Don't buy any of the packages, because some of them were awful. There was a sunset package which included orange juice, fruit platter and pastries which came out to $21, but this is free as a continental breakfast. Even if you wanted it to delivered as room service, the fee is only $3. So no need to get that package. The rose pedal packages does not include rose pedals, but it does come with a champagne and chocolates that did not look appealing whatsoever. Luckily, the staff were nice to refund us and take it back. They were thoughtful of giving us a complimentary bottle. This was our wedding anniversary, so we wanted something special. Also, the dining package is a waste because they charge additional fees when you go to the restaurant. Our only experience was at the hibachi table, but overheard them telling customers that there was a $10 fee to two of the basic entrees and $20 fee for the expensive meal. It sort of negates the purpose of buying the speciality package because you're not really saving money. Like I stated, this ship is gorgeous and has a lot of potential, but I don't think we will sail with MSC again.
