As my friends and I planned our college spring break trip, we knew we wanted to go somewhere warm, drink, eat good food, meet people, and have a good time. Taking a cruise was an obvious choice and the price was right. (4 nights all inclusive Cabo vs. week cruise with Princess Plus). I’ve cruised quite a bit having done NCL, Celebrity, and Carnival; This was my first Princess cruise. I knew it was going to be an older crowd onboard, but that didn’t deter my group of 4 21 year olds. Overall, we had an amazing time! Crew was outstanding. Food was amazing. Drinks were strong and flowing! Let’s dive in:

Embarkation: We arrived the port at around 10:15-ish. We had chosen the earliest boarding group (“A”) but none of that seemed to matter as we all stood in a long line outside to get into the makeshift building. That line led us to security and passport check. Into the check-in/waiting area we go — We had “Green Lane” boarding passed, but were directed elsewhere since the Green Lane was longer than the other. Worked out in the end, we got Boarding Group 2, sat for five minutes, and were onboard the ship at around 11:05am. Strange, chaotic, but worked out.

We took our luggage onboard with us and were told we could drop our bags off at the room. So we did; Our room was actually ready but the door was still open, so we dropped and went to explore.

Cabin Review

Interior

Inside room suited our needs. It was well designed and felt large enough for our needs. The humidty was a bit of a problem, however. This is my first cruies where the air was a problem in a cabin -- Air was SUPER dry and lack of fresh air was missed. (Bring a humidfier or something to help cope!)

Port Reviews

Cabo San Lucas

Classic Spring Break. Been to Cabo bunch of times before (never on a cruise!) an stuck with the classics. Sasn't disapointed. Party!

Mazatlan

Really surpired! Love the old school feel. Be sure to "Follow the blue line" to get to old-town and to easily get to the main square, Basillica, and other spots. Visited Olas Altas; Loved it! Didn't get out to the main "Golden Zone..." maybe next time.

Puerto Vallarta

Go stright to the trousity spots and the beach nearby. That's really the only thing going for PV right now.
