This is cruise #4 for me with RC. My 2 friends have never been on a cruise ship - so after some convincing we all "splashed out" for Grand Suite 11242 - on Quantum from Brisbane-Airlie Beach March 10-14th.

Our Grand Suite was level 11 - close to elevators but certainly not noisy.

Emabarkation at Brisbane - easy! Make sure you have your ID/RAT test photo, Vacc certificate and Set sail pass handy as you'll be showing these alot . After dropping bags off, go to the first line show your Set Sail pass. Then up the escalators then show your RAT test/Vacc certificate results - up another level where you do the official "check in" with the staff member on their Ipad, then go through Security to scan your hand luggage (dont forget your 2 bottles of wine you can take onboard) then you walk to the gangway, Scan your set sail pass - then you're On the ship! You come out right in the Royal Esplanade. We went to muster point D2 to so the safety check in and watch the staff member demonstrate how to put on the life jacket - then we're free! We did have to wait to 1.45pm for the staterooms to be ready though - so dragged our gear around and up to the Windjammer for lunch.
