We chose this cruise to experience a suite on a supposedly 6 star ship. We boarded in Lisbon after queueing on the pavement outside in hot weather and then being transferred from one desk to another. Each desk only dealing with one aspect of the embarkation process. So unprofessional. Extremely poor service throughout the ship. Meals mostly either over cooked or undercooked, cooked in too much salt, consustently served on cold plates. 'House' red or white wine always offered of poor quality and on many occasions could not be drunk. No alternatives offered.Gordon's Gin and Drambuie unavailable. I was even told Drambuie had gone out of business! Excursions poorly managed with a lack of information regarding coach transfers. Holiday camp type evening shows were extremely poor. No dairy free desserts offered in the buffet. Very poor choices. The daily activities are geared around bridge, foot seminars or yoga. Thank goodness we had exceptionally good weather and were able to spend days around the pool when we were not ashore otherwise we would have been so bored. The room was nice but overall, in every aspect of the cruise, Silversea should look at Celebrity and then they will understand why Celebrity are so very much better.
