This is our 2nd time sailing with NCL and will NEVER sail again with them. From day 1 unpacking to see a tiny bug in the closet to finding 3 more bigger ones the next day (See pictures) was the start of it. They moved us to another balcony room but this was in the back of the boat and was so loud from motors and vibrations were crazy. We hung at the back pool bar but because they were short staffed, we had to wait atleast a half hour for a drink. The pool water was like a hot tub. On the 3rd day in, at the back pool area, it started raining black soot and ashes that came out of the stacks. Apparently they knew this was an issue as when we came home I read a review from a prior Epic cruise the week before. There was no where to go because the main pool area was small and with 4100 people on the boat, no where to put them so that was a lost day in the Sun since they closed the back pool area to clean it for 3 hours only to have it do it again the next couple of days. The lines at the buffet weren't too bad but trying to get a table was ridiculous and for the specialty restaurants, we had a reservation say for 7pm but never got seated until 815. They stopped 24 hour food but you can pay 9.95 now and order room service. We just learned the other day that NCL hired over 200 people and the week before training, decided they weren't going through with the training so all those people who gave up previous jobs, apartments, houses etc were stuck now with no job. The best part of this is when corporate seen my case (Guest Relations filed a claim) all they had to say was thank you for bringing it to our attention and basically my cabin was tested for bugs but it came back negative. That's because I killed 4 of them and kept them in a baggy and of course they will say there were none. I expected a little more than that and I wasnt looking for a free cruise. I tild them after getting the thank you letter for telling them my concerns that i will put thos out on the web and thats what im doing.Think before you go with NCL. We have never had any issues with Carnival, Princess or Royal Caribbean.
