Our family of 5 cruised on Anthem of The Seas because the ship had so much to offer and we were not disappointed. Our family includes two 55 y.o. and a 25, 23 and 21 year old. We all had a great time. The entertainment was the best, we were never lacking in things to do. On the last 2 days we hit some rough seas but the entertainment never stopped and we kept busy attending all the offerings! Thanks so much Joff, you and your crew were the best. We ate all of our breakfasts in the Solarium dining which was nice and not crowded at all. Also nice to be able to walk out to the Solarium bar for a quick drink. Thanks Kelvin- always there with a smile! You do feel the ship move a lot on the 13th floor so not great for motion sickness- but we had some rough seas and maybe on calmer days you would not feel anything. Bagus kept us well taken care of as our cabin steward, again always happy to help- he went above and beyond on many occasions for us. We ate all of our meals in the MDR. Carlos Ameli, Fransisco, and Pitri! The best!!!! We saw Pitri in the morning somewhere else on the ship and she remembered ALL of our names!!! The music hall bar where the bartenders wrote our names in chocolate syrup on top of our chocolate martinis! The 70's Disco was the best time- lots of people got dressed up and Joff and Gabrielle and the team had us dancing all night. Do not miss this!!! Two 70 is a great venue and the food at the little café there is great for a lunch or snack. We did the North Star but never did the other offerings. The ship had mechanical issues and we all thought Royal did a nice job keeping us informed and compensating us for the delays.
We went to Atlantis, glad we did it but not enough time. Nassau was not great. Coco Cay would be amazing if you were not there with another huge ship- Anthem and Independence were there together and it was very crowded, really could not get seats on the beach and the bars were full. Lots of people walking around taking drink orders so we found a spot by the pool and got the drinks there. Independence had 1000 spring break young adults on the ship, we loved it- oh to be that age again!!!
We were in balcony cabins and a connecting cabin. The 13 floor is great because you are close to everything on the top. Elevators were often full so we took the steps almost every time. You can hear the staff in the early morning in the Solarium but if you are a heavy sleeper you will be fine. It would wake me but I could fall right back to sleep. The balconies can connect for these two adjoining rooms but it's more like a pass-through and not one big balcony. If you are sitting on the chairs you cannot see the people in your adjoining balcony. You will be so lucky if you have Bagus because he is the BEST.
Embarkment and dismemberment very smooth
Took and hour and a half to get from the ship to Atlantis for our excursion.
