I decided on Virgin Voyage because it was promised to be a luxury cruise. The idea of no buffets and no children sounds perfect! Well it sure fooled me. The check in and check out was wonderful. Very quick and easy process. The no children was great! On the other hand, there were no buffets, but the food was terrible! All of the restaurants that we ate at that required reservations were not top notch. I did not eat one complete dish at any of them. And the sit down quick service was not good either. If it wasn’t for the pizza place, I would have starved on the cruise! I actually lost weight on this vacation. I guess that’s a plus. The staff were pleasant. And we could always find a spot by the pool with exception of sea day. Which is expected. The only downfall was the music is quiet loud! Not really enjoyable for me. Some may like that. Even at the resort, we were in a cabana on the beach and the music was so loud by the pool it was disturbing to us. The layout of the ship is not what we are use to. But it’s a lovely ship. I do wish there were doors on the bathroom as a whole and it would be nice if the beds were higher.
Bathroom needs a door. When someone goes to restroom at night they have to turn light on and it’s distracting. Also beds are way too low. No one wants to sleep on ground
