We chose this cruise as it was offered to us at a discounted price due to our mariner status & casino offers. The fruit was old, meat chewy, food cold many times and many areas of the ship needs repair. We had multiple issues with our cabin and never got them resolved. We were very dissatisfied and unsure we will return to Holland cruise line even though we have 4 star mariner status. The line has really downgraded to a carnival cruise line status in our opinion. They now want to nickel and dime for “decent food” onboard. They offer orange club for $400 pp and it’s a rip off!!! We had a designated 95 dial line for this club but only one person to provide service to how many people that purchased it! We held many times 15-20 min to even get a party. Priority services we paid for was not provided.

Our thermostats was broken in room and we had to sleep with a chair in the balcony door one night it was so hot. Our shower had mold throughout our 2 week trip until I finally filed a complaint. We had two service calls due to our broken thermostat and advised they had parts in order but had not received them (sorry).

My lobster tail in the fine dining pinnacle was so old and rubbery (in addition to being served dirt cold) had to be cut with a steak knife. The asparagus was so mushy we simply left it. Steak in the pinnacle was of such a poor grade or poorly cooked we left half of it on the plate as we didn’t have the stomach to keep eating it. Crème brûlée was so overcooked one teaspoon served as enough. Pinnacle is Holland’s high end pay for dining experience. Two evenings in this fine dining was not worth the upgrade from the buffet lido dining. We found the lido dining a huge downgrade from our past experiences with the Holland America line. Mango mush, brown grapes, soft over ripened fruit, salad bar has really taken a hit….no longer is there fresh spinach option and the fresh tuna is dry, gray and not fresh, we opted to skip the “fresh” salad, now the desserts…. The pastry chef should be ashamed of the desserts we tried onboard, cheesecake was not firm nor dense, the pear tart was only worthy of being a hokey puck, our vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce was premade and the caramel sauce was frozen, our no sugar added tiramisu and hazelnut pudding was prepared early and had a dry film layer crusted upon it, I could go on but I think one can get a sense of the elementary and old preparation.
