After reading some of the negative reviews we were a little worried but our concerns were unfounded. I really dont know what people complain about. Having cruised over 20 times on various different cruise lines i think i am well placed to comment on both the ship and the service provided. I admit that P&O have cut back in some areas eg. Perhaps not quite so much selection on the menu in main restaurant and No nightly turn down or pillow chocolates but to be honest we really didnt miss that!

The Standard balcony cabin with sofa was good, clean and very comfortable. Sound proofing between cabins is so much better than on the older ships making for a very quiet nights sleep with no noise from neighbours (brilliant idea to remove drawers from cabins, I fully understand why they did that).

We did eat in the speciality restaurants as it made a nice change and was a little bit special but the main restaurants were also very good if a little noisy at busy times. We preferred the two smaller ones - Aqua and Opal.
