We were looking forward to this cruise out of NYC, but we’re very disappointed right from the embarkation, we arrived on a buss supplied by Norwegian, they kept everyone on the bus for almost 45 min., from there we had to find our way to a holding area with a couple of hundred other passengers for an hour and a half with No Norwegian staff to give us any guidance. When we finally got on the ship everything seemed fine. The staff was great all over the ship. I really didn’t like the layout of the ship , no Center atrium, only 2 floors high, the casino has a terrible layout with a sort of atrium in the middle of it and main walkways passing through it, it certainly didn’t seem like you were in a casino at all. We had the drink package but a little over half way through the cruise the bars started to run out of basic products, we couldn’t find coconut rum anywhere , or even white rum, when we were in ST Kitts, my friend asked for 4 different drinks , 2 rum drinks and then 2 different beers and none were available. Not good for a cruise with a drink package. The walking track is very short and you are better of going to the lower decks to get a better walk in. One of the other things that really disappointed me was the fact that there is no atrium or club with a bar at the front of the ship, it’s always nice to go up there on sea day’s and in the evenings. The front of the ship is the Haven, and if you are not there you seem to be in the second class part of the ship. From the top deck you could peer over the wall and see their pool, which is as big as the pool for the bulk of passengers on the ship; you will see the well spaced chairs with thick pads. We have sailed with Norwegian a number of times, but after this cruise we came home and cancelled a fall Alaska cruise and rebooked with Princess. As I said I think this is the worst laid out ship I’ve ever been on but the crew was great. And the debarkation was almost as bad as the embarkation trying to find the correct bus.

Cabin Review

Cabin seemed a little smaller than other balcony cabins we have stayed in, and the balcony itself was very small. It had 2 small chairs and a very small table.
