The service from our waiter and cabin steward was excellent! The highlight of our cruise. The food was ok, basically same menu as all the other cruises I’ve been on this line. They did have a decent vegan menu. I had never met a rude crew member on any cruise until this one. There was a rude bartender in the windjammer and a rude bar server in the main dining room. The shore excursions were very disorganized in Puerto Rico with no good directions where to go once off ship and who to talk to. The ship is starting to look old and worn, needs a refresh. What really spoiled the cruise for me and my family was the open bag of biohazard ☣️ sitting outside a room about 10 down from me. This family was being isolated for an intestinal problems. There was no other way to our room except to go by this room. This bag sat opened in the hallway for over 3.5 hours til we complained. The steward in that area told us all he was told not to touch because of heir quarantine. The head of guest services never followed through on his promise to me because of this upsetting occurrence. He offered us a new room for the last three days but that was not what bothered me it was the open bag of biohazard sitting in the hallway for hours. I am a nurse and know this is not appropriate. I actually cancelled my 30th anniversary cruise on this line because of this. This is not the first time on this line I have had issues with health protocols.
