My birthday was the 19th and Charleston is a 6 hr drive from our home. We were 3 couples and we had Spa Cabins. The location was great because we just walked out the "back door "to everything...movies, bars and restaurants.

We are all normally on Princess or Celebrity cruises and this Carnival was our 3rd Carnival and the 3rd cruise we took since the Covid lockdown was over. . Last Nov.(2021) our Celebrity had 500 guests ( right after Covid opened up) Our Princess was a 19 day Panama cruise (2022) with 1/3 of the passengers. So we were a little shocked that Carnival was just loaded up with passengers ! A full house.

We also were disappointed that the Spa area didn't have a thermo, but that's our fault for not checking it out before we booked. The hot tubs near our "back door" always had at least 12 people in them ( at 0nce) In 10 days we only went in a hot tub once and that is because it was empty when we arrived and waited until it was clean and filled etc. then we went in LOL The pools were always loaded ( along with the people in them )
