My husband and I traveled with our two adult children, our son-in-law and our two grandchildren. There were 7 of us in three cabins. If I add up what everyone spent on this trip it probably came close to $26,000 not including air fare, hotel, and personal expenses. If I add that in it was closer to $30,000. We had a 2 bedroom Haven cabin and the grandchildren stayed with us, one adult child had a studio, our other adult child and son-in-law had a balcony. We were looking forward to this family reunion cruise so much and had high hopes as we are sapphire members and really had good experiences so far on NCL.
Everyone came home upset. The ship was packed to capacity which made doing anything stressful. And loud!!!We ended up all of us hanging out in our Haven cabin some of the time. Our butler and room steward were the best we have ever had and I tipped them accordingly. Without them it would have been even worse. NCL played games with the ports and port arrival times. We got into Port Canaveral 3 hours late so the one and only shore excursion my husband was looking forward to was cancelled. They actually without asking him scheduled it for the next day which was the Disney day. They added and subtracted Bermuda twice and we ended up in Miami which was OK with us. We went to the Bayside Marketplace and had a nice lunch. Harvest Cay was the highlight as it was beautiful weather and we had rented a cabana. The behavior of the other cruisers was atrocious. I attribute this to everyone was under stress and trying to make up for no vacations during covid. Lots of people coughing and sneezing without covering their face. I have never in my life seen passengers line up on the deck and scream at another cruise ship " Royal Caribbean sucks" and then of course those passengers screamed back "Norwegian sucks". And not to mention when the concierge introduced himself everyone hooted and hollared at him like they were at a rodeo.
The food was good even in the buffet. Especially the carving stations. Crew worked very very hard. The ship was clean.
