Being a fan of many things Disney, I was eager to sail on their newest ship, The Wish. I knew someone who had sailed on it last Fall and they spoke of the excellence of Arendale and the beauty of the artwork on the ship.
Well, that's about it. I have been on 5 other Disney Cruises and this was this was the sixth and most underwhelming of them all. The ship is poorly designed, there are only two elevator bays and with so many people have strollers, there was always a line.
The adults only section in the rear of Deck 12 is mega small. Also, when it comes to food, it is the most stingy Disney ship, the most stingy cruise ship I've been on. There are no dinner buffets, period. That means that all folks must eat in their over croweded and small sized dining rooms. The places where the servers obtain your food is a long ways away, so it can take up to 2 hours for you to have your meal. The food was mediocre, the drinks packed little alcohol. I do recommend you go to breakfast at Roy Disney, because they have great Mickey Waffles, they don't have them on the debarkation day, so get them on a regular cruise day. Also, the food places I heard so much about on Deck 11, The Cantina and The BBQ place, were great, but they close at 6 P.M. Room service? It runs only from 1:30 P.M. to 11:59 P.M.
Great room Steward, room was narrower than other ships. Also, they put the new toilets at an angle so my knees kept hitting the door. Shower is much improved, and as always, having a toilet room and shower room separate, puts Disney's ocean bathrooms over the top!
