We chose a Dubai cruise and MSC seemed to be a good choice. In the main that proved to be correct but there were some inadequacies on the cruise line.

Firstly and foremost we received embarkation details saying that we could not board until 19.00 hours which mean we got into our cabin a little after 20.00 hours having extended our hotel booking to accommodate a late checkout. Having boarded we learned that we could have embarked at 12 noon expecting our cabin to be ready at 14.00 hours. This was costly to us and the matter will be taken up with MSC.

The food and entertainment could not be faulted. The same could not be said about the poolside facilities as guests were allowed to leave towels etc on sunloungers to secure their spot for hours. This was un-policed and unacceptable. Read more
