This review starts at the port. RCCL has a new terminal that is beautiful but has to be run by blind people. It apparently opened in November and it was the worst experience we have ever witnessed in a port. There apparently is no communication between security, the private parking vendors, and RCCL. I found the disorganization to be rampant. We pulled in to be dropped off and were told to go to spot 6. We went to spot 6. Well then the person in charge of security, that looked like he may have been in jail the night before, told us we could not drop there and pointed toward another parking spot 6. We then maneuvered to another parking lot 6, mind you in sight of the first parking spot 6, and was met by a rude guy who owned the spots (EZ CRUISE PARKING) he said and cussed and told us to move immediately or we would be fined. By now our Genie had arrived but there was nothing he could do on the ground. I looked around and I could plainly see that there were three sets of parking spots, all numbered the same, in the same area. Somebody is a moron. We did unload, regardless of the homeless parking guy who said he owned the spots (EZ CRUISE PARKING) and finally got into the terminal. We had 10 CUSTOMERS of RCCL with the average age of 75 they kept pushing around all over the place. Once inside, it was better. The bottom line is that perhaps RCCL would say those people are not theirs, only contractors and apparently low bid. It says Royal Caribbean on the building, we paid Royal Caribbean, and this is where they sent us. It is a true reflection of Royal Caribbean and if they are not ashamed or embarrassed then they have definitely got issues. Like mamma said, it is hard to make a second first impression.

Now to the ship. Way too big. Too many people. When it is embarkation day or disembarkation day with 5500 people if you don't have a Genie, then you are going to be really upset. On sea days, the ship is so packed its hard to find space unless you are in the room. If an emergency occurred, it would be a disaster. It appears since covid they have managed to shift more cost to the customer, raise prices, and say no more than yes. I do not believe the quality of the food in the areas that are "included" were of the quality they were in the past. The employees, well they are the same great people who try and I am sure are threatened everyday. I did see more than once supervisors publicly reprimanding the employees instead of pulling them aside. Classy bunch aren't they?

The infirmary....They never said I had the Nirovirus but they certainly didn't charge me for the infirmary visit and several other things. I found the infirmary to be dirty, with blood spots on the floor and stains on the cabinets. It was not clean. In the beginning, there was a guy posing as a nurse who told the doctor to go to bed, he could handle it. After an hour, a couple of injections, I assume the doctor appeared. She ordered a bag of fluid, that the so called nurse attempted to start, four days later I can't move my arm. Worst IV I have ever had started in my life. Then they gave me some drug that produced about 20 hours of sleep and hallucinations. It did stop the horrible stomach pains but it wasn't easy to get there. I was quarantined to my room for 24 hours with no diagnosis,(wink, wink) but they told me I could basically have anything I wanted on the ship to eat and watch any pay movie I wanted. If you have ever had the virus neither is very helpful and rest assured I wasn't leaving the room.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

The "owner suite" was just like those on other RCCL ships. It was nice and not a shoe box.
