Dinner in Murano

Table setting in Murano - beautiful !
A visitor on our veranda - we loved the veranda furniture

We chose this cruise as a quick way to get away to some warm weather. While the weather was clearly not Celebrity's doing, the experience was somewhat lacking. We were disappointed in the food in the Main dining room, (the Epernay) except for a couple of items and we were disappointed in the food in Tuscan Grill and Murano. We were also less than impressed with the service in the Main Dining room. The tables are far, far to close in the Epernay which made table conversation almost impossible. The food and the service at the Ocean Cafe was on the whole good. We thoroughly enjoyed the duo violin and cello, and the dancers and singers in the production were enthusiastic. We did not participate in the activities as they were lame, at best, and we found cruise director over-the-top. We went on one of the shore excursions out of Cabo San Lucas (Todo Santos) which was good. We enjoyed the solarium pool area and the spa cafe is excellent. The Library collection needs to be curated. The cabin steward did fine, although we didn't get robes until the 2nd last day. We met some wonderful people, which made the cruise much more fun. I attended the Women's Wellness session delivered by the 3 facialists, which was excellent. Based on this experience, I did go for the special mini facial, massage deal. ) The cosmetician was excellent and did no upselling, which I really appreciated. We were upgraded to Concierge and found the balcony stateroom very small but adequate for 7 days. The charge for internet access was ridiculously expensive. We were surprised that there was no space provided for worship, although there was space noted for Shabbat observation.
