We had a great time aboard the Carnival Valor! The ship was very clean and the service was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. There were tons of activities for everyone to enjoy. The ship was full, but did not feel overwhelming. The food lines could become long at peak times, but the staff worked hard to get everyone through quickly. The Carnival Hub app worked great for dinner reservations. I recommend the dining room for dinner, the food was great. I was not impressed by the buffet at dinner time. The Sea Day Brunch was also very good. The breakfast buffet had an omelet station along with plenty of food options on the buffet. For lunch there were plenty of options: Guy's Burgers, tacos/burritos, Mongolian wok, BBQ, Deli, sushi, seafood and pizza. Most of these options were closed by 6 pm which somewhat diminished the dinner options. The ship was the perfect size, not too large and there were plenty of places to get away from the more crowded areas. We did not attend any of the shows or comedians, but talked with passengers who enjoyed them. Costa Maya and Cozumel were great and both of our excursions turned out perfect. We had a balcony stateroom that was very spacious, our cabin steward did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this ship. I felt it was more suitable for adults, as the kids area seemed small and there is only one pool with a water slide where they are allowed. There were basketball courts, mini golf and an arcade on the ship. Definitely make some time to visit New Orleans if you are able, before or after the cruise.
