The crew was great, and the naturalist/guides were friendly, funny, and well informed. We enjoyed everything from the jungle walks to the swim in the Amazon (we were told that all the piranhas had been domesticated). All the guides were from the Amazon and were able to give insights into the native culture and their upbringing.
Every meal was locally sourced and delicious. The chef on board was extremely talented, and the wait staff was very attentive. It seemed like every meal was the best we ever had until we were served the next one.
The cabins were well appointed, and the bathrooms were roomy and modern. Although we travelled during the Peru political unrest, it was not even evident in Iquitos.
