Cabin:

My wife and I chose this cruise because we like the big ships, and the dates/price were right. We usually cruise Royal Caribbean, so this was a change. This was our 16th cruise, second on Carnival.

We arrived at our chosen boarding time, and the process was smooth and quick.

Our cabin was a balcony near the aft end of the ship. Good location, however, the Roller Coaster was 4 decks directly above, and the cabin shook (mildly), and some noise, each time the ride ran. For this reason, I recommend not getting an upper deck cabin in the aft end of Mardi Gras. This cabin was an adjoining room very close to the elevator. No noise at all from that.
