We choose this cruise to travel with our friends who has mobility issues. Our first Viking Cruise and it more than met my expectations. The stateroom was excellent, our cabin service as well as the waitstaff and ship crew were all friendly, and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. We had a few issues including an electrical fire in a stateroom on our deck the first day and a cyclone that caused us to miss a couple of ports! However, Viking handled all of this with grace and professionalism. I felt we were kept informed of the weather issues by our Captain and the Cruise Director was wonderful.

There were many things to do on board during our days at sea and we all enjoyed the offered entertainment, cultural lectures and films. The ship even had a Super Bowl Watching Party when we were unable to stop at one of our ports! The executive chef did a great job putting together great football watching food and even a cake celebrating both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles! It was a lot of fun.

I also thought the dining experience was excellent. There were many options to choose from including more formal dining to casual. The food was excellent and a lot of variety. The public spaces on the ship were very well done and the Explorer's Lounge was my personal favorite.
