After 23 previous cruises, 13 on Celebrity, this was our first post-Covid vacation. We just wanted to get back to cruising so we picked an OK itinerary and a ship that we really wanted to see for the first time. It was nice to get away an we were pleased, as always, with the service and attitude of the officers and crew. The only service glitch was a long delay in getting our luggage. I finally walked three quarters of our deck and found it in front of random room.
This ship is beautiful, but disappointing in a number of ways. We plan to limit our future Celebrity cruises to the Solstice and Millennium class ships. Our Concierge cabin was nice, but it was essentially an ocean view room with a big window. We like to sit out on our balcony and get some fresh air. The Edge "balcony" became a place to store luggage instead of putting it under the bed. We found enough storage space, although the safe seemed smaller than usual.
We prefer having dinner in a main dining room. Having the same serving staff is helpful and we get to meet other guests more than once. We ate at all four free restaurants several times and found the menus rather limited. Compared to all our previous Celebrity cruises the overall menus clearly have been cut back. Never saw a prime rib entree. On "lobster night" the lobster "finger" that was served was less than half the size of what we were served in the past (with an upcharge for seconds).
Nicely appointed cabin, but as already mentioned, a balcony cabin without a balcony is not a balcony cabin.
