We are 57 and 61 years old and have travelled on 16 + cruises. We have travelled on Carnival, NCL, Cunard, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and now MSC. They all have advantages and disadvantages for various reasons. The only one we will NEVER travel with again is Cunard.

This was our first time on MSC. We booked the trip with another couple for a 1 week getaway. We have travelled on this itinerary before ( excluding MSC's private island).

The price point and the perk ( free drink package and free wifi on 2 deveices) were a selling feature.

Cabin Review

The cabin was an inside- We have stayed in interior, ocean view and balcony cabins over the years. We have started booking inside cabins due to the price point, that we don't spend much time in the cabin, and we really like the darkness for sleeping. This cabin was great- the only exception was that the TV was very small ( its about a 17 inch computer monitor). There was no sound quality on the TV, and there was no programming. They did put some old movies on 2 channels to offset no channels- but very hard to watch on such a small TV with poor sound.

We had to ask for face cloths and kleenex.

Our cabin steward ( Rodil) was Excellent.
