The previous reviews of this Jan 23 Edge cruise are terrific and should be read by all as whole to get an excellent overview of the pros and cons of this ship, this cruise. I am waiting for further cruises on other Edge class ships (Beyond booked for Feb 24) to see if improvements/additions warrant a 5--as a great lover of prior 5-star Solstice class cruises (esp. early on when Aqua Blu + the ship's design made those exceptional--maybe just nostalgia, though?). I would rate this cruise more in the 4.0-4.5 range, but with improvements it could certainly rate a 5. Very subjective, I know. Just want to make a series of points that might be helpful to future Edge and Edge class cruisers and, perhaps, to Celebrity Cruise Line.

1. CLEAN+ ...Excellent. One aspect often overlooked is this 5-star aspect of Celebrity cruises, including this one--the Edge was immaculately clean and maintained from the moment we got on the ship to departure. Celebrity should be praised to the hilt for its dedication to cleanliness and maintenance of facilities used by passengers! To us, it is comparable to our experience at the Wynn in Las Vegas, which, even post the worst of covid, is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard. Kudos!

2. CABIN. See Cabin review, below. Overall, the room was a 5 out of 5.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class Stateroom with Veranda

CABIN. We thought our room, a Concierge 2 was excellent, with many improvements, including bathroom and shower size, comfy huge bed/wonderful pillows, great storage areas. We prefer the regular balcony on Solstice/other ships, but Infinite Veranda did let in more light and created more space, but really didn't use it too often for reading or relaxing, etc. Overall, the room was a 5, though.

[Note: didn't find out till near the end of the cruise that our room was NOT the C1 we paid for, but a C2--poorer location than a C1/C1 seemed to have a few perks we didn't/a Celebrity bag, etc.--no big deal, but still, what the heck? We have made the point to Celebrity, but we'll see. Again, no big deal--excellent room.]
