My sister and I recently returned from a three-day cruise, January 6 through January 9, on the Aqua Nera. We were booked on the Aria Amazon, but were switched for the convenience of the company to the alternate boat, due to low bookings.

At booking, we were advised of the acceptable Iquitos flight timetables to facilitate transport to and from the boat. Our itinerary detailed this would allow us to arrive at the boat in time for an excursion prior to dinner. My sister and I arrived into the Iquitos airport within the specified timeframe. Despite this, we had to wait around for another guest to arrive outside of the specified timeframe.

We arrived late to the Aqua Nera and did not receive the promised afternoon excursion after arriving to the boat. Neither did we receive the safety instructions until the following day. Read more
