We chose the cruise because it went to Thessaloniki and Crete. Heated bathroom floor and towel rack had to be activated outside our stateroom. That's bad in summer. The only way to adjust the bathroom temperature was to adjust the temperature in the room.
Most of the food was good. In the World Cafe, signs did not always match the food. Most serious was putting soft-boiled eggs under the hard-boiled eggs sign. The Restaurant menu had multiple sections - classic, international meal, and daily options. Mamsen's is open for breakfast, lunch and tea. Selections are unique and some are loaded with calories. The pool bar has several varieties of burgers and a nice salad bar. It is not open for dinner. There were evenings when nothing appealed to me at the Cafe and Restaurant and I didn't feel like ordering room service.
Something new added on our trip were 'Leisurely' excursions. These easy excursions were not available pre-cruise. The website offered moderate and strenuous excursions. 'Easy Ephesus' is the best excursion for those who've been there and couldn't see everything. It starts at the lower gate, not the upper gate, allowing us the energy to visit the amphitheater and Celsus Library without having to walk through the full site.
Lots of storage space. Curtain to separate bedroom and living room. Sofa was large enough for me to stretch out. We had 2 televisions and a roomy shower. We requested only diet drinks and ginger ale in our refrigerator but 2 cans of Coke Zero was added and other drinks were not removed.
So much walking through the old town. Fascinating architecture contrasting the many cultures that have inhabited the island.
