We planed this cruise eight months in advance. It was my retirement cruise . We counted down the days until we were finally onboard. This was our 7th NCL cruise, with most of them exceeding our expectations. From the moment we stepped onboard, the disappointments started. There were no entertainment shows available and specialty dining restaurants were booked. We tried to keep our heads up and be positive so we decided to go to the bar and get a beer. I ordered a Michelob Ultra beer and the bar tender said we don't have that anymore. I was totally shocked. Here we are with a drink package and they don't have the beer we drink. How could you not have the most popular beer in America? We then ordered something we didn't want and started to look for the smoking area as my wife and I both smoke. We ended up on the very top of the ship out in the elements in a very small space, with two ashtrays and dozens of people smoking. They treated us like criminals. This is only the first day and the disappointments just keep on coming. All the venues were very small so finding a seat anywhere was difficult. From 2 to 5 during the day there was only one small restaurant open to serve hundreds of hungry passengers coming back from excursions. The only entertainment we got to see all week was at Sid Normans. We had to line up one and a half hours before the show started to get in. We had more fun on the NCL Sun, a much older and smaller vessel, than on the Prima. We never even got to ride the go carts because they were either closed or you had to have reservation. Oh and lastly, the don't have a Casino bar either.
