A trip to Antarctica has been at the top of my bucket list for a very long time. When the chance to travel there with friends came up, I was all in. The Viking Octantis is a beautiful ship and the staff was absolutely first rate, from the cabin attendants to the expedition crew. I loved the lectures provided by the various experts that were on board as well. We loved dining in "The Restaurant" and after a disappointing first meal in "Manfredi's", we went there again and had a good meal. I especially liked "Mamsens" for an afternoon treat of fresh scones, and also for a light lunch.

The expedition crew were very helpful when it came to getting in and out of the Zodiacs. They were all knowledgeable about what we were going to see once we reached land. My favorite part of the various expeditions was my trip on the submarine. It provided a whole different look compared to what we saw on shore.

The public rooms were very comfortable and the service was top of the line. I loved all the art work throughout the ship and enjoyed the chance to talk to other passengers while sitting in the various public places.

Cabin Review

Nordic Penthouse (with Balcony)

I loved the spaciousness of the cabin and loved the floor to ceiling windows. I was able to sit and have my breakfast in my cabin while enjoying the scenery (mostly ocean) going by. My cabin attendants were the best.
