We wanted to see Australia and New Zealand. The food was amazing. We loved The Chef's Table. We ate there 4 times in 2 weeks. Manfredi's was okay, but not our favorite. Most people on the ship disagreed. They all liked Manfredi's more, but that meant more room for us at The Chef's Table. The Restaurant was good. The buffet was good. The wine glass was never empty. Wish we could have had Gelato instead of ice cream was our only complaint, but there were so many desserts we never went hungry.

We missed two stops because of Cyclone Gabrielle, but our captain decided to sail west from Wellington, New Zealand to Auckland to avoid most of the storm. He made a great decision! We had rain on those two sea days, but it wasn't nearly as intense as what the eastern side of New Zealand experienced! We feel for the people of New Zealand. They are such a kind and welcoming people.

Viking really took care of everyone on the Orion in such a super professional manor. We now feel very spoiled. We have already booked another cruise with Viking. Read more
