We were occasional cruisers (10+ cruises over the past 35 years), mostly on Royal Caribbean and Holland America. We had received marketing materials for Seabourn and always said “some day”. Then, with all the cruise ship horrors at the beginning of the pandemic, we weren’t sure we would ever feel comfortable cruising again. Fast forward to now, we decided the time was right to cruise, and we booked on Seabourn. Now we are spoiled! What a difference. The ship was beautiful, service was outstanding, and the food was fabulous. Our friends who traveled with us made the observation that the ship was really a floating fine dining restaurant. The size of the ship also made a difference. We were able to go to mostly out of the way places. Our only bad experiences were on islands where we docked next to huge ships, and had to fight the resulting crowds. One last comment - the complaints from previous cruisers on here and on Facebook about how Seabourn is changing for the worse seem ridiculous to me. Yes, I’m a first timer but I don’t see how things could be much better than what we experienced.
The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed (except an iron). The bathroom was especially nice although the shower was small.
We stayed on the beach where the tender let us off, primarily because it was tough to get a taxi elsewhere. We got chairs at Elvis’ Beach Bar. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded with a small swimming area. Elvis’ Beach Bar was great for drinks.
We walked around town. It was just ok. I would recommend going in an excursion or going to a beach.
Seabourn took us to a private beach club for a bbq. Fabulous!
