Before moving to a comparison I will do a review of the Royal Radiance 9 day sailing 9-18 Feb. Six seniors traveling together taking advantage of very attractive pricing on this sailing. First time for some of us out of the new RC terminal facility in Galveston. What a nice experience it seemed we were slowing them down from loading us it went so quickly. From curb drop off to onboard less than 30 mins – helpful and friendly port people were great. So a good start. Getting off the ship went just as smoothly.

The ship – the Radiance was into service in 2001 and was showing some wear, our sailing had 2150 passengers and were told it was fully booked. A good variation on ages, a few children, not mostly seniors. CLEANINESS – this was a concern item for us all – we felt on this ship that sanitizing and cleaning were very important. The public areas were regularly cleaned, someone always seemed to be in the bathrooms cleaning, no trash laying around, clean elevators. We

were hoping getting ill was something Royal would help us avoid and they did a great job for us on the Radiance. Very few people seemed ill or coughing so making it all the way 9 days and not picking up a germ was important and we did not.
