We chose this cruise as had been on Arcadia a few years before and it was exquisite, so had so had qualms about booking another cruise. From the start to the finish this cruise was appalling in every way. Queuing an hour every night to get a table for dinner. The queue went half way along the ship. The food was repetitive, very small portions, always warm.

Staff didn't seem to understand what you were asking them, if you went to reception you were lucky if you got a grunt! Our Christmas dinner when we eventually got a table as we were turned away as having no ticket for Christmas dinner - no one said anything about having a ticket. We got two slices of turkey, two brussells, two slices of carrot, half a tiny roast potato and a pig in blanket. My partner had a starter of undercooked scallops and half frozen prawns. My started was half a pear with three rocket leaves (salad?) Food was bland all the time with really small portions. We ate in the MDR as the buffet looked as thought the food had been sitting there for days. The entertainment was awful, embarrassing. One day it was freezing on the ship, we all had to wear coats, the next day it was just so hot. Buckets everywhere catching water coming thro the ceiling. Covid status wasn't checked when embarking, no checking of tests three days before embarking and no temperature tests were carried out before embarking. We could have been full of Covid, with no vaccines and could have got on and they wonder why Covid was on board. Also Norovirus on board which I am sure was food poisoning. Dreadful cruise, completely spoiled our Christmas and we were both ill on board and which continued after leaving the ship to spoil our New Years Eve. Never again on P & O.
