As far as the cruise itself, this was par for the course for Carnival. I am Platinum with Carnival and while most cruises are fun regardless, I am disappointed in the direction Carnival is going. We started out this cruise with our steward notifying us that we could no longer choose our preferred cleaning time...this was not a big deal, but a shock to me. I then dealt with problem after problem with my group of 55...mostly due to what I was told were changes in Carnival policy. IE...Fans will no longer be provided unless you bring a doctors note with you explaining your medical necessity for one. I have no problem with Carnival changing policy...but they need to start giving agents a heads up so we don't look like idiots. We also had issues with amenity point rewards, fun shop orders, even people being told they could not special order a pizza. When questioned about these "changes", I was told that they changes happened after the break...REALLY? I have been on 10+ Carnival cruises since the break and never had a problem with any of things we dealt with. My group host was so frustrated and embarrassed at the inconsistencies that she pulled her next group with Carnival and is now booking with another line.

As far as the ship, I would not sail Conquest again, and I have never said that about any ship. The buffet was closed down at 8:30, if you asked for cookies at night at the deli, they told you to go to the pizzeria...guess what the pizzeria told me? Yep...go to the deli. The entertainment was bottom of the barrel from my experience with Carnival, and we saw our steward on our embarkation day and never again.

Cabin Review

Balcony

We were in a spa balcony. The room was fine, there was a foul odor on day one, but that cleared up. There were only two outlets and the one by the bed didn't work. But it's an older ship and that is expected. Spa rooms came with no ammenities...so why call them SPA ROOMS?

Port Reviews

Cozumel

This was my best visit to Cozumel...Conquest was the only ship there and it was a lot of fun this time. We stayed around the port and the group did a planned activity at the beach area.
