Sail Date: Jan 2023
Cabin: Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

After reading a lot of negative reviews about HAL we were slightly dubious about our 2nd sailing on The Noordam. The first time we sailed on her was 9 years ago and we hadn't done another HAL ship since

Our first impression was that the ship was very clean and in good order. The staff were really welcoming as we boarded. Our cabins were ready straight away so once we had dropped our carry on bags off we headed up to the Lido for lunch. Although it was about 2.00pm the Lido wasn't crowded and there was a very good selection off food which was served to us so there wasn't a lot of different people handling utensils.

Throughout the cruise the Lido was clean, the food although not always hot was plentiful and tasty. The Lido staff were always on had to clear tables and bring us water etc

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom

Cabin was compact but had everything in it we needed. No noise and right next to the elevators.
