After having a great cruise on Aurora last summer, we thought we’d try the new Iona.

I must admit, the big ships are not for us. Although very clean and “modern” there is just no character, and we found ourselves, and others, calling her “insipid” “soulless” and “lacking in character” but many will like it, mainly those who are new to cruising.

We were upgraded to a balcony, which was nice, but about as small as you could possibly get it, and a lot smaller than balconies that we have had before! But nice and clean. And the shower/bathroom bigger than they used to be.
