We were a group of 4 from Singapore on Quark Expedition's voyage on the Ultramarine to Antarctica over the New Year and it was a most memorable experience for the following reasons, in no particular order of priority.:
(a) Very new and comfortable ship, with excellent cabins with balconies and heated ensuite bathrooms.
(b) Seamless and attentive transfers from the meeting point at a hotel in Buenos Aires to the charter flight to Ushuaia and the ship at the harbour. There was always someone accompanying us from departing from the hotel in Buenos Aires, at the airports to guide us to where the queues and flight check in counters were and then making sure everyone's luggage got to our cabins safely and undamaged in Ushuaia etc.
Cabin Review
The cabin was large (nearly 30sqm including the balcony), and had ample storage for all our luggage (two big check in and two carry-on suitcases), with a very good entertainment system that not only had movies etc, but also a nifty channel that showed you the location of the ship at any one time on a map (like on airplanes). They also pipe in the lectures and briefings on your TV in your room in case you don't feel up to going to the lecture theatre because you are feeling queasy or tired. The bathroom and toilet are very well appointed and we especially loved the heated floors and the rain shower that even had space for a bench for you sit down should you want to.
