This trip was postponed several times due to covid. As a reward for booking another cruise we were promised several on board ship benefits. When the time came to cash them in we were told that we did not have them by our travel agent. I called Viking directly and they told me that they would not speak with me because we had an agent but they did tell me that we had some credits. After very frustrating discussions with Viking and separately with our agent we received what I determined was about half of our credits. Our agent suggested we call Viking directly to work it out but Viking would not talk with us directly. Obviously this was a bad start to the trip and overshadowed the experience.
Pasis was nice. We did a lot of walking and enjoyed the city a lot. We missed a lot too but I suppose we will go again. The hotel was ok but we arrived in the morning. Despite that we were registered at the hotel we could not get the complimentary breakfast the first morning. Nobody told us though and they wanted to charge us $135. since we didn't eat anything we didn't pay and found breakfast at a different place. The hotel advertised a terrific view at the upper level but they neglected to say that you had to reserve a time slot and purchase $150 meal in order to take advantage. Other than that, Pasis was wonderful.
The trip from Paris to the boat was by bus. By the time we were headed for the boat we had already spent hours each day on the bus and this trip was very long despite the stops along the way. The boat was a welcome sight.
Smell from the bathroom. Cause could not be found and was not corrected during the cruise.
