This was our first post covid cruise. We last sailed on the breeze and it was still great. Embarkation was ok- didnt recall all the steps.. Once onboard we went to the casino bar. Sheila was very friendly! We could only get one drink between us both until we did muster. WHICH was amazing- love the new method. We mostly hung in the casino.. didnt watch any shows. We did watch a lot of live music.. Guitar sounds w/ Sam and 2Shay.. we watched them in ocean plaza as well as the atrium. We parked at port of galveston across the street-super easy. We really liked the deck 4 casino annex-much quieter and not smoky. The casino was pretty stingy though.. hubby got around 2000 points and all we got was a bottle of wine.. and he had to ask for that!!!!
Food- paid to eat sushi twice- really good. Also paid for the seafood shack- lobster roll, claim chowder and clam strips- really good also. The steakhouse was still so so so good. We did cucina for lunch pasta and it was great. The dining room was good both times we had it- slow though. Pizza and blue iguana was great still as well as guys burgers. Didnt get to hit the deli or pig and anchor. We were not impressed with the seaday brunch. Also room service coffee was super quick every morning.
Chat plan wasnt working so we had to go to guest services for a refund. We brought a pop up hamper and a small fan.. Both life savers. Laundry service was so so expensive so we didnt do any laundry. The straws they have are candy straws- so gross and slimy.. bring your own. Self debark-we have always done- to me it was a cluster.. or im older and more impatient.. took us about 2 hours to get off as a C4 muster card holder. Only other comment is about the ships in cozumel.. we were ship #6 to arrive.. what a mess.... Luckily we are well traveled in mexico so we crossed the street for a taxi.
Robi was our steward and he was amazing! Room was well appointed and I chose a great location based on the casino.
We love cozumel... we got married in port there 10 years ago so wanted to go back.. It was a mad house.. we were ship #6 to arrive and were very overwhelmed. Went to nachi which was great. We ended up crossing the street to get a taxi.
