A friend of mine paid for a cruise and his girlfriend broke up with him. So, he asked me to go along with him and I happily obliged.

This was my first cruise on Carnival and I was rather skeptical. Simply based on what the internet peeps say about Carnival being a bad cruise line.

Embarkation was an absolute nightmare! They have a system in place and they give each passenger a time slot and that sounds lovely. However, once you start making your way through the outdoor lines, it gets messy. As you make your way inside, it's hot, sticky, nasty and just a terribly slow and frustrating experience. I get that you are trying to get thousands of people through the doors as fast as possible, BUT, do better.

Cabo San Lucas

Cabo is absolutely stunning and such a wonderful island town. In fact, I want to move here and open a business!

I did not have an excursion planned, so I just did some walking around. I had a good breakfast right off the ship, did some shopping at the plaza and the highlight was the Cuban cigar shop that's about a 10-minute Uber from the dock.
