We had been on a previous Scenic River cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam and since that was a first class experience, we decided to go on this cruise. This cruise along the Mekong River from Vietnam to Cambodia far exceeded our expectations. Our cruise Director, Mirko, who has a wonderful sense of humour, was so very helpful and caring both for his guests and his staff. It was obvious, from the way all of the staff worked together and interacted with us (from the staff helping us on and off the ship, to the dining staff and chefs to our wonderful butlers and of course our captain) that Mirko respected them and they in turn respected him. We were always greeted with a smile when we met any of the staff on our ship. Everyone was happy to be there and many graciously shared a part of their family lives with us.

The accommodations were spacious and beautiful. The food was amazing with so many different influences…French, Asian, authentic Cambodian food and flavours from around the world.

We had fabulous entertainment on the sunset deck…a Traditional Vietnamese Lion Dance Show as well as a Cultural Dance performance by Cambodian students and children fund organization. Read more
