I am taking a few moments to write a review as several I've read since returning from our trip are rather negative. Our experience was very positive.
I should note, we have cruised on other lines (Celebrity, Carnival, Holland America, etc) and this is not our first boat ride. Also, traveling when we did the ship was not sold out (in fact, it was at about 60% of guest capacity) and the "crowd" was, as expected, primarily senior citizens.
(1) FOOD: Was great. As a rule, we avoid the hustle-n-bustle of the buffet and take all meals in a sit-down atmosphere. Tsar's Palace is a lovely dining room; due to the low passenger count, it was quiet most of the time. The table servers were pleasant and efficient. I, for one, was never disappointed in menu choices, however, one of my favorite things to do on a cruise is choosing meals I wouldn't make or order at home. Something for everyone; meat, seafood, vegetarian entrees.
Clean, well-maintained, large bathroom (as cruise ships go), wonderful cabin steward.
