We had originally booked a Mediterranean cruise, but canceled when COVID wreaked havoc on travel plans. I found this off season cruise of the Aegean and am so happy we went with it.

Viking was superior in every way. I don't know if we can even consider going on another large cruise ship. With 450 crew members to our 850 some passengers, the service was incredible. I've never been so pampered. The food was delicious, hot, and varied. We ate at The Chef's Table and Manfredi's several times with no problems getting reservations. These would have been very expensive meals in our city. The Pool Bar offered hot and satisfying "bar food," the Restaurant was delicious, and the buffet line always had something new with more decadent desserts than I could eat. I also loved that you could eat almost any hour of the day, which was convenient with tours scheduled in the ports.

The tours were good. We especially loved Volos, Thessaloniki, and Ephesus, even with the two days that it rained. And Santorini is heaven on earth.
