I Chose this cruise because I wanted to go to Hawaii via California. My first on a Holland ship. Generally I go on Carnival because it is more geared to my budget.
What is my favorite ship was a question I got asked a lot. My favorite is the one I am on at the time. They all have good times, entertainment, food and a place to sleep. Great vacation.
This was a beautiful ship. The food in the Dining and Lido was really good every time. As I had to pay double to start out with because I was traveling solo, I did not spend extra for any specialty dining, I was told by many that I didn't miss too much. I also did not buy even one drink (I am not a drinker, so this worked well) Water and Lemonade were plentiful. Orange Juice was always there at breakfast. The things included were fine for me as I was on a pretty fixed budget for the trip.
Cabin Review
Standard Interior Stateroom
My cabin was great! Comfortable. I could adjust heat/air to my preference. Plenty of space for all my stuff, I was traveling alone so got the bigger bed (2 pushed together). Liked the bathroom as it had a shower door so no water on the floor. Lots of closet hangers and drawers for storage. There were usb ports and lights on both sides of bed, that was great. No complaints on cabin, only compliments. Mine was an inside at the aft on deck 7. The TV was great, lots of old movies to watch, that was fun.

Ensenada
Didn't let off passengers until 4:30 and it was almost dark. Traveling alone, that was a no bueno for sure. Went for my Mexican vanilla then back to the ship. If we had gotten off on time, might get a higher rating.
