We have sailed Princess a few times and like their product. The staff on this ship exceeded our expectations! We had the best bartenders of any cruise, especially Jackie in the Explorer's Lounge, Pablo in the Casino and Mike and John in the Wheelhouse bar. Our Waiters, Donald from the Philippines and Juan from Peru along with their helpers were stellar. These people made this trip spectacular! I could not fault the food, everything was delicious and I didn't waste a thing. I loved the Stilton Mousse salad and of course the French Onion soup. I attended my first ever Chef's Table with executive Chef Russell Clarke and Mauriusz Czemarmazowicz, Director of Restaurant Operations. Wow! What a treat!
We had an obstructed OV cabin on Emerald deck 615, which was great and I would stay here again. Our cabin was well taken care of.
We spent a lot of time in the casino, however, it was not as much fun as our cruise last January on the Caribbean Princess. Not one of our group won at all. The house certainly seemed to have the advantage this trip. Oh well, that's why it is called gambling. I won $88 at bingo after playing 6 days, so not exactly a life changer but the entertainment provided by Fortuna Luck and her cohost was well worth the price to play.
E615 great cabin with a little bit of a view and lots of natural light. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens and pillows were a blessed upgrade from the Hilton hotel we stayed at. I liked taking the stairs up or down 1 or 2 flights-My husband actually lost a pound or two after eating a lot!!!
Took the Winery tour-Did not care for the bus--ceiling leaked onto us all during the trip. Seats uncomfortable. Wines-not so good.
Went to Pearl Harbor on our own. Paid $1 pp by purchasing tickets ahead of time and took a LYFT---great value.
