We chose Viking because it has great reviews and the smaller size ship, lack of children, and smaller excursion groups appealed to us. The excursions that Viking offered were very intimate, things that would not have been possible on a larger ship or in larger tour groups.

Like a lot of other holiday travelers, we experienced issues with our luggage...we did not get it. It was no fault of Viking and they did everything that that could to help us get our luggage. While waiting for our luggage to appear, Viking took care of our laundry needs at no cost to us.

My husband has many food restrictions and allergies that Viking handled perfectly, going far above and beyond to make dining on the ship as enjoyable as possible. The maitre d' decided that my husband did not have enough lactose free dessert choices so he personally went off ship and found a bakery that had lactose free items. He purchased enough of these for my husband to enjoy for the entire trip.

Cabin Review

French Balcony

French Balcony Cabin - Nice amenities, comfortable bed, adequate space and storage, and toiletries were wonderful quality.
