We choose this cruise because it left Melbourne which suited us. we always loved Silversea‘s, and that was the Reason to cruise with them, sad to say this is the last cruise with them ,I can’t understand how people can give this cruise five stars. This has been the worst cruise we had with Silversea‘s ever. If you do the ships tour, it is beautiful. no doubt about it I have no trouble recommending the service received by the staff from the Butler And stewards and the rest of the serving crewmembers. They were absolutely wonderful. they gave 100% .now my problem is the food, food, glorious food. It didn’t happen, and we always cruised with Silversea’s, because of the magnificent food the food that had the wow effects not any more. I can go on about the food from the restaurant to restaurant. We never had a satisfying meal in any of them , La Dame The Pride of the ship restaurants was very disappointing. The meat was tough and dry, not worth $60 the pastry counter was appalling. If you expect Swiss pastry, German cakes and cheese and danish, you’ll be very disappointed ,food at times was cold too salty and tough I wonder who is the head chef and what are his credential to look after a five star ship ,but just now as far as I’m concerned this is just an ordinary ship ,the food on Silversea‘s was for us the main reason we sailed with them the food once was to die for not any more. we spoke to a other passengers, and they were of the same opinion about the foods. I have work too hard for my money, just to be taking advantage of some big company who is money orientated ,my dear passenger. If you’re thinking of booking a cruise with Silversea‘s thing twice don’t let the glossy advertisement fool you
Very good , except the single beds were too narrow, and too high. My Friend fell out of bed twice ,the cabin crew Tried to correct the bed by lowering it ,it did not work, so my friend slept on the floor on a mattress for the last three nights. How can this happen on a five star ship?
